New Football Stadium?

Could Assumption have a new sports stadium on campus? This has been a question floating around the school and community for quite some time now. There are strong opinions on both sides of this controversy. Many students here at Assumption and St. Ambrose would be thrilled to have their own football stadium along with other sport facilities. If this plan were to go through, it would take years to complete, but many athletes believe that building the stadiums would be beneficial in the future for these sports teams.

Residents living around AHS have strongly displayed their feelings against the new stadium by placing signs in their yards saying, “NO SAU Stadium!”. Residents are concerned with the noise, traffic, lights, loss of property value, and water runoff that would come with the building of this new stadium.

SAU is working closely with the residence living around the area and the Assumption School Board to come up with a solution to this problem.
